UK's Kalender

If you are looking for an events organizer, you can either buy one or settle for a free application, with less features. UK's Kalender is distributed as a freeware application, but it still provides enough tools to satisfy your needs. You can use it to schedule important appointments, set up reminders, manage your tasks and much more.

The software's setup file is roughly 2 and a half MB. The installation procedure is straightforward and the setup wizard will not slow you down with any annoying adds or recommendations for additional toolbars or other settings for your web browser. You can use UK's Kalender on almost any Windows edition, from Win 98 (SE) to Win 8.

You can switch between different layouts on the software's interface to view the current week, month, year and so on. A tasks list is available as well, where you can insert your daily chores, prioritize them, select different completion percentages and more. Scheduling tasks and appointments is quite easy. In both cases, you must type in a description and your personal notes, associate the task or appointment with a color and specify a time and date.

When defining a new task, you can set up a forewarning in minutes, hours, days or weeks, select a priority, specify a completion percentage and associate your task with a document. This can be useful if you need to complete your work on a certain document. Instead of browsing for the file, you can open your document from the software's interface.

You can find a larger number of options when scheduling an event. Besides selecting start and end dates, you can also set up a reminder. Depending on your settings, the program will display a message and play a sound of your choice. Additional actions can be selected on the same window, but on a different tab. The software can acknowledge a document or execute a command, with additional parameters. It is also possible to select overdue events, like executing the same command within a few minutes, hours, days or weeks or before the next event. Enabling a snooze feature is another possibility.

If your database contains too many events, you can bring up a series of flexible searching and filtering options on the main interface. Another useful feature is the possibility of selecting numerous holidays, from various countries. Once selected, the program will display them on the calendar. The calendar can be exported in HTML or CSV format, along with your established appointments and events.
